Frequently asked questions

Does sweethost.it charge a commission on direct bookings?
No. You only pay the plan fee: sweethost.it takes nothing from the bookings made on your website, whatever the amount. Any fees of the payment circuit you use remain, charged by its provider.
Is the sync with Booking.com and Airbnb instant?
No. It works through iCal calendars: for each accommodation you import the channels’ calendar and export the sweethost.it one. Imported calendars are read every 15 minutes, or at once with “Sync now”; the portals read yours on their own schedule. Nights taken elsewhere are blocked and overlaps are flagged in the planning. iCal only syncs dates: prices, guest data and messages stay on each channel. It is not a real-time two-way OTA sync.
Can I use my logo and customise the website?
Yes. From the panel you pick one of the 22 templates and change logo, colours, fonts, photos, texts and the order of the sections, with a preview before publishing and a contrast check. Every template is included in every plan.
Does sweethost.it handle Italian compliance?
The panel prepares, you submit. Alloggiati Web: from the check-in data it generates the guest registration file and flags missing data; uploading it to the police portal with your credentials is manual. Tourist tax: automatic calculation per guest and night with your municipality’s rules, exemptions included, and a CSV summary; paying it remains up to you. ISTAT: arrivals, departures and overnight stays as CSV to upload to your region’s system.
Are the prices shown the ones I will pay?
Yes: they are the same as the price list the panel uses. Starter €29, Professional €69 and Business €149 a month, VAT excluded; Enterprise on quote. With yearly billing you get 2 months free.
Can I use my own domain?
Every website is online at yourname.sweethost.it. From the Professional plan you can connect your own domain (for example www.casarossi.it): you create a CNAME record pointing to custom.sweethost.it and the HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.
How does the free trial work?
It lasts 14 days and needs no card. You sign up on the website, confirm your e-mail address with the link you receive, choose a password and you are in the panel right away. At the end you choose a plan; if you do not, the website is suspended and the data stays available for 30 days.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, there is no minimum term: with monthly billing you cancel whenever you want. Before leaving you can download bookings and financial data as CSV or Excel from the panel.
Where is the data stored?
On servers in the European Union: the database runs on our servers, not on a third-party cloud service. Guests’ document numbers are encrypted with a key per property and deleted when you confirm the Alloggiati Web submission; backups are encrypted and kept for 30 days.
Can guests pay online?
Online payment (card via Stripe, Satispay and PayPal) is coming soon. Today the guest sends the request with the final price already calculated; you confirm and record in the panel the payments received (bank transfer, cash, Satispay, PayPal) and any refunds, which flow into the reports.
